Essay on Population & Wealth of Nations

Essay on Population

  • geometric ratio- population doubles every twenty five years
  • when the population grows, the labor force increases, and as a result the laborers are paid less
  • if people don't get enough food, they will die
  • the ratio of population to agriculture is uneven
famine, war, natural disasters, and diseases are necessary in order to decrease the
  • population when needed and keep it at a steady level

Wealth of Nations

  • Nations get money from working which is used to sell or get products needed.
  • There will be a surplus of food if there is a large amount of workers and work done.
  • Division of labor: A small work force doesn't need many supplies and a large work force needs more supplies.
  • People are given specific jobs to make only part of a certain product.
  • The produce depends on the wages of labor, for example wages are higher if the product is useful
